Theme Night Parties - SIXTH NIGHT: COWBOY & COWGIRL NIGHT

We are now on our fifth day and I know it probably sounds as though our days were becoming monotonous, because it was now Thursday and we had been doing pretty much the same thing day after day. Don’t get me wrong, there were plenty of things to do, but my husband and I were having the best time just hanging out in the pool and chatting with our new nude buddies. The stress from our jobs had been taking its toll on us over the past several months and we needed some lay it down and unwind time. This vacation had been exactly what we needed. We weren’t tired of repeatedly doing the same thing each day, in fact, it never seemed repetitious because there were so many new people to meet and socialize with each day. My husband and I have not only enjoyed the freedom of being without clothing tremendously, but the social aspect has been more than we ever considered. We have met people we consider friends now, friends who enjoy life and show that enjoyment in their attitude, zest and enthusiasm in everything they do. It makes us feel so alive and how can one become bored with that?

On this day in particular, we had the opportunity to go with the group into Tulum. Probably half of the resort had taken a day trip there to see the Mayan ruins, do some shopping, go to a nature preserve and do some snorkeling as well. I wondered if we should have gone with them, would we be missing out because we didn’t go, but as the day progressed it was just wonderful to eat, drink and relax. We walked along the beach again, went to the palapa beds along the beach and lay there watching the ocean waves crashing along the water’s edge. It was hypnotic watching as they rolled in, breaking as they came closer to shore and then washing back out again. The ocean breeze felt amazing on us, it was wonderful feeling how sensitive our flesh was to the breeze blowing in, raising goose bumps as it brushed over us, almost as though there were hundreds of feathers dancing across our bodies. It wasn’t long before we drifted off to sleep and it was one of the most peaceful naps I’d taken in a long time.

As the beginning of this blog states, the theme of this night was western night. I have always loved the cowboy/cowgirl fashion wear however never have embraced it, so it was fun to dress up in our naked versions of western apparel. For my husband we chose a leather vest and chaps, which I loved because his chaps were open in the back and crotch exposing all, especially his butt cheeks. I’ve got to say he looked mighty cute! He was adorned all in black, and wore a long bandito style moustache and finished his look with a black cowboy hat. I was in love with his costume. Where my husband was dressed from head to toe, I was rather scantily clad. I found a brown suede type bikini made of fringe which only outlined my breasts on top, and covering the front of my genital area below. It was a type of revelation to me how truly peculiar I felt being so scantily clad (It genuinely made me feel somewhat modest). It is so bizarre, completely naked I feel no shame or immodesty, but putting on a couple threads of clothing that left me barely covered, I felt strangely embarrassed to have people look at me. It was so crazy! I finished off my costume with fringed leggings and a brown suede cowgirl hat. We didn’t get pics of most of our costumes (which I rather regret), but then again, wasn’t feeling like I would want to broadcast them over the internet anyway, but they were fun costumes though we have no photos to prove it.

The night was full of dancing and fun as were all the nights previously. One difference on this night is the presence of a live mariachi band. They were quite talented and their voices were beautifully strong and clear as they serenaded us all evening. There was the recurrent costume competition, we strut our stuff in front of everyone again (which is difficult for me, I’m not comfortable with being the center of attention), and we came in as finalists. I believe we owe this placement to my husband’s fantastic costume and appearance. He looked maaaaaaarvelous!

Theme Night Parties - FIFTH NIGHT: KARAOKE NIGHT

On our fourth day at Hidden Beach a tropical depression moved through Cancun. Even though we didn’t mind being out in the rain, we felt like we wanted to do something a little different. So after having three days filled with eating, drinking and activities on the Hidden Beach side of the wall, we decided to don our clothes, grab our umbrellas and take a stroll around El Dorado Seaside Suites (the sister resort next door which shared privileges with HB guests). El Dorado is much larger than the 42 room Hidden Beach (not sure exactly how many rooms they possess, 300-400, somewhere in that ballpark). It was lovely, very much like our HB with its buildings and landscape, but definitely lacking in other ways.

We found we missed the intimacy we experienced on our side of the wall. The staff smiled nicely, other guests nodded their heads or gave a tight lipped smile in response to our hellos, but it just didn’t give me the warm and fuzzy feeling we enjoyed at HB. I wasn’t imagining it either, for my husband said he felt it too. One exception however, as we were walking hand in hand snuggled beneath our umbrella, we met up with a very personable young man. He said, “Oh, how lovely, muy romantico”. We said thank you, and chatted briefly with him. He was the friendliest of all we had met on EDS side of the wall. We introduced ourselves and he then told us his name, Rodrigo, but said we could call him “RoRo”. He jokingly told us we could remember his name by saying “RoRo is sexy”, he laughed and strutted away.

Once back at Hidden Beach, we received a brief interval from the rain and decided to check out the pool crew at the swim up bar. As we returned to our rooms to resume our au natural state, we entered the pool and swam up to the bar again. We joined in on the conversation which was going on around the bar when an announcement came over the loud-speaker, they were about to begin their staff versus guest volley ball game. We sat back and watched as the players gathered, and who should we see… RoRo! He had come to our side to play volleyball with us. In the days to come, we got to know this wonderful young man as he interacted with us as entertainment director, along with our little Ingrid.
When he saw us after the game he pointed his finger at us and gave us a great smile. He said, “Aaahh, I should have known you were over here”. He later told us that he much preferred to be on our side of the resort because the guests were much warmer and fun. I guess when we were so friendly and engaging while we chatted, that was the notable difference.

We had experienced another wonderful day, and we’d made so many new friends now, it was a challenge to remember the names of everyone we were becoming acquainted with. Learning about their lives, sharing laughs and special moments, it was the best time getting to know all of these wonderful people, so much so, we find ourselves laughing and cherishing moments as we reminisce over our time with them.

As I stated when I began with this page, we had shared three wonderful days of eating, drinking and activities. Our energy was beginning to wane a bit and we feared we were beginning to feel, dare I say…our age? My husband actually began to feel a little under the weather and the outdoor weather was becoming intense with thunder and lightning looming about. So we ate our meal, returned to our room for a shower, and then with the comfort of that king size bed beneath our tired bodies, we made the decision to stay in and skip karaoke. We cuddled and drifted off to sleep, gaining strength to party yet another day.

Theme Night Parties - THIRD NIGHT: SEXY LINGERIE NIGHT & CHOCOLATE PAINTING

We had another great day in Hidden Beach. Now let me tell you, we had a day that was filled with quite a few rain storms. We would find ourselves enjoying volleyball games in the pool, having drinks at the swim-up bar and suddenly we would encounter a downpour of rain. It was as if there was a giant watering can that just suddenly poured down from the sky above. Some climbed out of the pool and ran for cover, but the majority of us stayed there with the warm rain pouring down. I thought it actually felt marvelous to have the rain pour down on us. We didn’t have clothing on which when wet, would made us feel like drowned rats, so why not stay in the pool whether it rained or not. This approach served us well and prevented any disappointment concerned the weather. Many people would ask, “Did the rain spoil your trip?” I’m happy to say, it didn’t bother us one bit.

On sexy lingerie night I wore a sexy little number my husband purchased for me at Fascinations, a lovely adult store that carries many attractive fashions for any woman who wants to feel sultry and seductive. I love the fact they carry plus size lingerie, (we larger women like to feel sexy too you know). My negligĂ©e was black lace with a little leather trim in just the right places. My husband is so attentive when he sees me in it… But then again, I can’t think of a time when he hasn’t been, no matter what I was wearing. My husband wore a very nice pareo we purchased in the gift shop, but the competition was mainly for women (let’s face it, sexy lingerie is generally a woman’s fashion).

A fashion show of models dressed in sexy lingerie was presented for us, lovely young men and women who were hired to come in and model the items. I think they were confused however, they modeled bathing suits, but that was fine, they looked very nice and everyone gave them a large round of applause for coming out in the rain (oh yes, it had begun to pour before and during the show). We feasted on so much chocolate treats we had to work it off some how.  We had much more dancing after the modeling, there was a lingerie competition of Hidden beach guests, all were great sports and it was a hoot to watch the fun everyone experienced.

Once the fashion show and the lingerie judging was complete the chocolate painting part of the festivities began.  The staff prepared large bowls of melted chocolate and provided various sized of brushes for painting chocolate on the human body.  The brushes quickly disappeared and the chocolate also quickly began showing up all over bodies.  What a sight to see bodies being painted with chocolate and not necessarily by the spouse or partner.  So what do you do with the chocolate now?  You eat it of course!  Having warm chocolate licked off your body is an intense sensation to say the least, and we had chocolate EVERYWEHERE.  The staff had also prepared lots of fresh fruit and deserts to dip in the chocolate fountain; marshmallows, brownies, cake, bananas, pineapple, pretzels, and much more.  There were milk, dark, and white chocolates to choose from.

After indulging on all those chocolate treats, us included, we had to work off all those sugar calories, so what better way than a wild night of dancing.  We danced and danced and danced, with each other, and our friends until the lounge closed for the night at 2 AM.  It was still raining, we needed showers, and we were exhausted, so we went straight to our suite, showered, and collapsed in our plush bed.

Ahhh, another lovely night!

Theme Night Parties - SECOND NIGHT: ROCKER NIGHT

We had a wonderful second day at Hidden Beach. We’d spent most of the day in the pool at the swim-up bar. During the time spent there we met several friendly couples from different locations, Karen & Gene from Colorado, Cindy & Mario of Florida, Cheryl & Todd from California, Shirley & Jerry from Texas, Roxana & Eric of Missouri (just to name a few).

I must say, the friends we made on our trip have certainly enriched our lives. We really have enjoyed our nude outings because of the opportunity to meet so many genuinely unique and warmhearted individuals. One thing I have noticed about nudists, they are generally very welcoming, friendly and usually easily approachable. My husband and I have remarked upon this many times, nudists have nothing to hide behind so they are generally non-pretentious, open and pleasant. Maybe it’s because they don’t have the facade of their clothing giving the illusion of wealth, class or prominence. You can’t tell if they’re CEO’s or janitors, and best of all, it doesn’t matter for the most part (that’s not to say we haven’t met a snob or two, but truly, very few have we met). The sense we’ve gotten is everyone seeks only to enjoy the freedom we encounter as we come together. I don’t want to sound overly passionate on this subject but I it’s almost a spiritual experience to have this communion with the people we’ve met in our naturist groups.

Getting back to our second day…Had wonderful meals at breakfast, lunch and dinner. We enjoyed games with our darling activity director, Ingrid. Walked along the beach and collected coral and shells, laid in the sunbeds, feeling the breeze off the ocean as it blew across our naked bodies. It felt breath-taking, so exhilarating and romantic.

We went back to our room after our evening meal and took a little nap (though this time we didn’t sleep the night through). We got up and began to prepare for the nights festivities, Rocker Night. We were not used to the humidity we encountered in Cancun, so getting ready was a true challenge. Every item of clothing we donned hastened the beads of sweat which built up on our bodies. I was almost ready to say, “Let’s go naked”. But my practical side won out (I couldn’t purchase dress-up clothing, bring them all the way there and not use them). We purchased a long black “rocker” wig for my husband, black leather vest and a variety of other items which we felt would fit the bill for a true rocker. Poor darling, the wig made him sweat profusely. He’s got much more determination than me, I wouldn’t have been able to endure it. I made ringlet curls in my hair, tied it back with a black lace ribbon, wore a black fringe vest and tulle skirt with a long bustle. If I were 25 and possessed the body I had then, I would have been so cute. Though I felt a little embarrassed at the contrast of how I saw myself and my costume, I went with these words of reassurance from my husband… “Who cares, you’ll probably never see any of these people again”. I love his logic.

At the Moonlight terrace (the hall where all functions were held), I saw men and women of all ages and sizes dressed in different rocker styles. It was refreshing and it taught me something else, these people were not concerned about whom they impressed, didn’t care about how old they were, how great their bodies did or did not look, not even if they had the best costume, they were there to have fun… And fun was had by all! We participated in the contest for best rocker costume. Though we didn’t win first place, we were in the top five which was flattering.

The night was filled with refreshments, dancing and laughter, lots and lots of laughter. I love the life lessons I have been experiencing as a nudist, and I am so blessed to have my husband. He supports me and encourages me when I don’t feel especially secure in myself. I received so many compliments on my costume and was told repeatedly how great I looked in my costume. I think they were being overly generous with their praises, but I don’t care, I had the best time and was very pleased with the results.

Theme Night Parties - FIRST NIGHT: BRAZILIAN-LATIN NIGHT

As I mentioned in a previous blog, we did a great deal of packing for theme nights. Castaways Travel had sent the itinerary of activities and themes for each day/night to each guest who booked with them. It was great fun shopping for each night’s costumes, trying to visualize in our minds what costume we might like to present for each nights theme. So we’ll be posting a little run down of each night’s theme and events.

The first night’s theme was Brazilian-Latin Night. We thought we could get away with taking some of the pieces from other costumes we were bringing and mix and matching them together to pull off a costume with the Latin flair. We had bright colored beads, scarves, and glow sticks and necklaces which we thought would suffice. The funny thing about this, it’s almost as though we sensed something about this night for we really didn't put much thought or effort into planning this themes’ costume.

After traveling all day and having been up for 36 hours straight, we finally arrived at Hidden Beach Resort. We were completely worn out. We got settled into our rooms, ate a delicious meal, swam up to the bar and had a few drinks with the other guests who were hanging out there, and suddenly we began to feel quite tired. We decided we would take a little siesta to rev up for the evenings’ festivities. As we lay down in what felt like the most comfortable bed in the world, we suddenly heard the loud rhythmic cadence from conga drums. I went to our patio door and saw there was a conga band beginning to play in the dining area. I began to tell my husband of the lively activities which were already beginning and realized he was fast asleep. I watched as a conga line formed and the guests danced around under the palapa (the name for the palm-branch thatched roof that covered the dining area). It looked like they were having a great time, I felt like I was missing out on the festivities but the bed looked more inviting as it beckoned me to descend into its sweet comfort. I snuggled up to my husband and within a few minutes I heard nothing of the drums, music, laughter or shouting coming from just outside. Now mind you, our room was right next to the dining area. When the drums began to beat, it sounded as though it were in the same room with us. Needless to say, no costumes were needed that night, as we slept through the activities… and the night.

Hidden Beach And It's Staff

When we began planning our trip to Hidden Beach Resort (http://www.hiddenbeachresort.com), we had never been to a nude resort other than our Mira Vista Resort in Tucson, Arizona. This is the resort we joined just a year ago which we frequent once or twice a month (depending on weather and time allowance). Now, don’t get me wrong, Mira Vista is quaint, even beautiful, in a desert landscape sort of way… But all-inclusive luxury resort it is not.

As the time of our departure drew nearer, we were getting more and more excited over the prospect of enjoying a relaxing week at a tropical resort. Weeks before we left, we went to Mira Vista for a weekend get-away. A couple we had never met overheard discussion in the conversation pool regarding our upcoming trip to Hidden Beach Resort. They said they had just returned from there, and though it was nice, they stated they were disappointed they had to go there rather than “Club O” (alias for Club Orient, in St. Martin Caribbean). They said nice things about HBR, but never failed to compare how HBR fell short of the elegance and opulence of “Club O”. The sheets were more elegant, the grounds were more beautiful and better cared for, the staff more accommodating, and the lavish treatment they encountered there was just so much better according to them. I was careful to convey that our expectations were pretty modest since we hadn’t experienced any other nude resort outside of Mira Vista. They did assure me it was nice however, just not as nice, but we would definitely like it.

I don’t want to say anything negative about this couple, for they seemed very nice and I’m sure they only wanted to be helpful. But what we found at HBR couldn’t have been further from what this couple described as far as satisfaction with this resort. One thing they seemed to continuously give reference to was the ability to just raise their empty glass in the air and it would immediately be filled.

My husband had reserved a lovely swim-up room for our stay. He was so excited about our good fortune, to have gotten this choice locale in the resort and the ability to walk out of our room, into the water, and swim up to the pool side bar, needless to say he was in seventh heaven. However, this couple didn’t seem to think much of having to swim up to the bar to get a drink, it was such an inconvenience, remember, at Club O, just raise your glass and it was filled. Well, I think you get the picture of the recommendation we were given by them regarding HBR. I can’t fault them; maybe their lifestyle was more grandiose than ours. I guess it’s all just a matter of perspectives.

As we began through the front doors of the lobby we were met by Miguel, America and Camila, (they are the front office concierge staff). We were breezed gently through the check in process to allow us to get us to our rooms quickly and easily so we might begin our relaxing vacation. Our belongings were cheerfully transported to our swim up suite. We were shown the mini bar, the Jacuzzi tub, the spacious vanity, and the walk-in shower with a glass door.

Aniceto
We spent a few minutes unpacking our suitcases, after all, there was not much to unpack for a week's stay at a nudist resort. We then undressed and moved to the patio and into the dining area for a bite to eat. We encountered Angel, Aniceto and Jesus (our waiters who seemed to work 24 hours a day, for they were there for every meal from sunrise to sunset).  They worked every day to serve us with a smile and great kindness. They never left us wanting for a thing if it was there to provide. We were spoiled.

Alberto
Ingrid & Rodrigo
After our meal we went on to the pool and came across the infamous swim up bar where Alberto and Lucy (our bartenders) poured our drinks to our specifications. When our glass was empty, a filled one suddenly appeared... Who needed to raise a glass? Games were played in the pool area, led by Ingrid and Rodrigo (our entertainment directors). They were such lovely young people with never ending enthusiasm, energy, and smiles. They never failed to keep the activities moving and fun to be had by all.

Our maid service was efficiently provided by Angelica who moved in and out of the room swiftly and proficiently. Our room was cleaned and organized before we would return from breakfast most days. When we returned we’d find a creative towel arrangement of lovebirds, dolls, dinosaurs or teddy bears proudly sitting at the end of our bed with flowers adorning them and rose petals strewn about them.

From the moment we walked up to the entrance, we were greeted with the beautiful smiles of the most genuinely hospitable staff I have ever encountered. “Welcome home” greeted us at every turn. We were unable to carry a thing, open a single door, move a chair or reach for an item without a staff member stepping up and saying, “Please, allow me”. The staff at HBR made our every wish their command, hustling about to meet our every desire. They remembered our names and sweetly followed them with “Mi Amor”.

From our perspective…We had the time of our lives and have never been treated more lavishly. We have already booked our return trip for next year.

We Are Off To Hidden Beach Resort

We finally have begun our first of what we hope to be many, exotic trips to nude/clothing optional resorts across the world. My husband had spoken of Hidden Beach Resort (http://www.hiddenbeachresort.com) on a few occasions. When he approached me about taking a get-away vacation for a week in October with a group called Castaway Travels, it didn’t take me long to say yes. At this point, our careers had been demanding many hours of each of us, we truly welcomed the idea of a week away from all the stress. When Mark first asked, mind you, it was March. Weather in Arizona was cool, bordering cold, so it didn’t allow us the freedom we usually enjoyed of being naked in our back yard. We hadn’t been down to visit our nude resort (which we frequent in Tucson when we feel the need for a nude get-away) since Halloween and we were missing the joyful encounters we shared in social nudism with our friends at the resort. It sounded great to think of being naked in the tropical warm weather, since we had been starved of our naked liberty outdoors for a while….But October was a long ways away at the time.

As the weeks went by, my husband was found in his office every evening investigating every bit of information he could find on HBR. My husband is nothing if not thorough, so I think there has been no stone left unturned when it comes to our trip here. His exuberance over our trip was charming, he was like a little boy on Christmas Eve as he would come to me, bringing some new tidbit of information he’d just found about HBR. I must admit, I was pleased and welcoming the trip, but I’m afraid I didn’t meet his enthusiasm with the same liveliness, (as I said, October was a long way off it seemed and I was usually exhausted when I got home from work). As the days, weeks and months passed, we received more information from Castaway Travels regarding our trip, seemed fun, I thought. Mark was so excited, calling me into his office to show me the pictures of the resort, telling of the theme nights, of the activities they had available. To my darling’s credit, he’d always check with me each time to make sure it was something I’d like to participate in before he would sign us up, he never just assumed or chose activities unless I approved. Just to give you an example of some to choose from, the catamaran cruise, visiting Mayan ruins, couples massage, various classes (like, learning Spanish, Latin dancing, cooking classes, massage lessons), too many to mention all. As the trip drew nearer, we received an itinerary of the theme nights. Before I knew, it was time to start shopping for our costumes for theme nights. Now this was beginning to feel more real… ah yes, shopping! At first it was scanning the internet for ideas. It then became going to shops and stores throughout the area to bring our costumes together. Luckily it was nearing Halloween, so many of the costume stores and online sites had great selections (honorable mention, surprisingly, goes to Goodwill). Before I knew it, it was time to start putting our things into the suitcases to be ready to leave at the end of the week. The cutest thing ever though, was as my husband sat on the sofa the night before we were to leave, he seemed preoccupied. I asked him what was wrong, and he said, “I’m just worried we haven’t brought enough clothing”. I tried my hardest not to laugh (for I could see he was truly serious about this, I guess packing clothing for all his vacations over the years had conditioned him), and I said, “Not to worry sweetheart, we’re going to a nude resort!” I just love this man of mine. My darling’s hard work and efforts probably seemed as though they weren’t appreciated at the time, (I include this part of my blog to let him know, I noticed). I’m sorry I didn’t help sweetheart, not even one little bit, with any of the planning or investigation of our trip. I appreciate you and all you have done to make this trip wonderful.

I must also say, when we arrived at HBR, all expectations were surpassed when we walked through the front gates. As we met each member of the staff, (opening doors, carrying every belonging we had, not letting us lift a finger or carry a thing) being greeted with the most lovely and genuine of smiles as they said, “Welcome Home.” I believe my only suggestion for Hidden Beach management …change their greeting of, “Welcome Home”, to “Welcome to Paradise!”
